THE BRIEF
I designed and developed the Handmade Online brand identity to be clean and minimal, giving it the flexibility to sit comfortably alongside a wide range of seller brands without competing for attention. It was also important that the identity felt refined - positioning Handmade not as hobbyist or “craft fair,” but rather, reflective of the premium quality of the products featured on the marketplace. The colour palette, inspired by Australian landscapes and foliage, grounded the brand in its value of supporting local business while aligning seamlessly with the Australian Made campaign.
As the in-house designer, I implemented the identity across all areas of the business - social media, advertising, EDMs, and internal applications such as pitch decks and seller resources. My role also extended into strategy and collaboration, working with Marketplacer on the website and a dedicated social media team, as well as directly with marketplace sellers, to ensure the brand was consistently and effectively applied across every touchpoint.
